Wave Curtains

Custom wave curtains in Dubai made for living rooms, bedrooms, dining areas, floor-to-ceiling windows, and sliding door openings.

Why Wave Curtains Work Well in Dubai Homes

Wave curtains are built specifically for floor-to-ceiling glass, open living layouts, and ceiling heights and perform where standard curtain styles fall short.

Uniform Fold Every Time

The fixed-spacing track system holds each S-curve in place. The pattern looks identical whether it is open, half drawn, or closed.

Handles Large Spans

They have continuous lengths and joined invisibly, making them right for windows and sliding doors wider than three meters.

Works with High Ceilings

Floor-to-ceiling wave curtains in rooms with three-meter or higher ceilings hang without distortion, bowing or sagging.

Compact Stack When Open

At 200% fabric fullness, wave curtains stack into a tight bundle. It keeps the glass fully clear when the curtain is drawn back.

Suited to Sheer and Blackout

The same wave track runs sheer voile and full blackout fabric. Double-track configurations layer both on a single ceiling mount.

Clean, Minimal Look

No visible hooks, rings, or tape. The cassette or ceiling-mounted track sits flush and the fabric hangs in clean, uninterrupted curves.

Types of Wave Curtains

We supply motorized curtain configurations designed to match different structural and technical requirements.

Sheer Wave Curtains

Sheer wave curtains use lightweight voile or linen-weave fabrics with high light transmission. They soften direct sunlight entering rooms while keeping clear view. The wave fold in sheer fabric is most visible when light passes through it.

Blackout Wave Curtains

Blackout wave curtains use coated or lined fabric that blocks 100% of light and better suited for rooms, where full darkness is needed during the day. The wave fold holds cleanly in heavier fabric without stiffness or puckering.

Double-Track Wave Curtains

Double-track wave systems mount two curtain layers on a single ceiling bracket, a sheer layer at the front and a blackout layer behind. Both layers operate independently on separate tracks. This gives full control over light levels.

Benefits of Wave Curtains

Standard curtain tracks flex, the pleats shift with each draw, and the fabric develops irregular bunching over time. In Dubai's homes with wide glass facades, wave curtains work better.

Benefits of Wave Curtains

Keeps the Room Cooler

A lined or blackout wave curtain on sun-facing windows reduces solar heat gain through glass by blocking direct radiation before it warms the room interior and increases AC load.

No Re-Styling Needed

The fixed glider spacing on a wave track returns the fabric to the same S-curve every time the curtain is closed. There is no straightening, adjusting, or re-hanging required after daily use.

Lasts Under Repeated Use

Wave track gliders are injection-molded and rated for tens of thousands of draw cycles. The fabric attachment points do not stress or tear the way that eyelet or pencil pleat headers do.

How to Choose Wave Curtains for Your Space

Window width, ceiling height, room orientation, light requirements, and how the curtain will be operated each determine which wave curtain configuration, fabric weight, and track type works best for a specific room in a Dubai home.

Match Fabric Weight to Window Size

Lightweight voile works well on windows up to two meters wide. Wider spans or floor-to-ceiling drops need medium to heavy fabric to prevent the wave from flattening under its own weight.

Choose Track Mount by Ceiling Type

Ceiling-mounted tracks give the cleanest look in rooms with plastered or gypsum ceilings. Wall-mounted tracks suit is best in rooms with exposed concrete soffits or feature ceilings.

Set Fabric Opacity by Room Orientation

Sheer fabric suits north-facing rooms that need soft light diffusion. East and west-facing rooms need light-filtering or blackout fabric to deal with the direct sun that hits Dubai glass.

Specify Track Length for Sliding Doors

Wave curtains over sliding doors need tracks extending past the frame on the stack side so curtains clear the opening fully. Include stack depth when measuring track length.

Decide on Motor by Curtain Height

Manual draw cords suit curtains below 2.8 m. Motorized wave tracks are recommended for taller curtains or when tracks run along elevated ceiling beams beyond comfortable reach.

Wave curtains are sewn at 200% fullness, meaning the fabric is twice the track width. This ratio creates consistent S-shaped folds. Less fullness flattens the wave; more causes the folds to crowd and lose definition, particularly in heavier fabrics.

Yes, wave tracks can be fixed to a timber or metal batten secured above or alongside a duct or beam. The batten bridges the obstruction and provides a flat fixing surface. This keeps the track level and the curtain drop consistent across the full window width.

A single wave track section runs up to approximately four meters before a connector join is needed. Joins are invisible once the curtain is hung. For openings wider than four meters, two or more track sections are joined and the curtain sewn as one continuous panel.

Motorized wave tracks with WiFi or RF modules connect to systems like Control4, Crestron, Lutron, and standard smart home apps. Curtains can open and close on set schedules, respond to sunrise or sunset triggers, or be controlled by voice through linked home assistant devices.

Most wave curtain fabrics are machine washable at 30°C or below. Remove panels from the gliders, wash without spinning at high speed, and rehang while slightly damp. The header tape retains its wave spacing and the fold pattern resets as the fabric dries on the track.
